Create and download your first video

FacelessPilot helps you turn a repeatable content direction into scripts, narration, visuals, captions, music, and finished videos.

The current release uses a manual production workflow. You decide when to create each Episode and when to generate its video. FacelessPilot does not currently schedule Episodes, publish videos automatically, or sync them to YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.

The workflow at a glance

1. Create an account and verify your email address.
2. Create a Series to save the strategy and creative direction shared by your videos.
3. Create an Episode from an idea, your research, or a suggestion from FacelessPilot.
4. Review the script and resolve its quality check.
5. Approve the script and confirm the production settings.
6. Generate the video and follow its progress.
7. Preview and download the finished file.
8. Upload the file to your chosen platforms yourself.

You can edit or regenerate individual assets when needed. FacelessPilot reuses successful assets where possible, so correcting one part does not always require starting the entire Episode again.

Before you begin

You need:

• a FacelessPilot account;
• one active Series;
• enough video allowance for the expected runtime;
• a clear topic, rough idea, or research notes for the Episode.

You do not need a finished script. You can also let FacelessPilot suggest an Episode idea from the Series strategy.

For your first production, use a preset, choose a standard voice and visual style, and leave the optional AI animated opening turned off. This gives you the simplest version of the workflow to review.

Verify your email before generating content

Email-and-password accounts must verify their email address before using AI generation or video production. This protects your account and helps prevent automated trial abuse. Signing in with an available social provider does not use this email verification screen.

After creating an account with email and password:

1. Keep the Check your email page open.
2. Open the verification email from FacelessPilot. Check your spam or promotions folder if it is not in your inbox.
3. Select Verify email within 24 hours. The link expires after 24 hours.
4. Return to the FacelessPilot verification page and select Continue if the page does not move forward automatically.

If the email does not arrive, select Resend verification email. The resend button has a 60-second cooldown, so wait for the countdown to finish before trying again. Repeated clicks during the cooldown do not send additional messages.

If you open the verification link in another browser or device, return to the original browser and select Continue. FacelessPilot will either continue to your requested page or ask you to sign in again with the verified address.

Do not share a verification link. If you did not request the email, you can ignore it safely.

Step 1: Create a Series

A Series is the reusable production brief for a group of videos. It keeps the audience, topic, voice, visual style, captions, and music consistent from one Episode to the next.

Open Series, then select Create Series.

Strategy

Start with a preset if you do not know what to enter. You can edit every preset field before creating the Series.

Review these details:

• Series name: A private, recognizable name for managing the Series.
• Niche: The topic and angle the Series will repeatedly cover.
• Target audience: The specific viewer the content is intended for.
• Series blueprint: The promise, structure, pacing, tone, and boundaries future Episodes should follow.
• Reference script: An optional example that shows the writing style or delivery you want. Use it as direction, not as text to copy.
• Content to avoid: Extra subjects, claims, or treatments that should not appear in generated drafts. FacelessPilot also applies system safety rules.

A useful Series is specific enough to guide production but broad enough to support many Episodes. For example, "history" is too broad, while "overlooked decisions that changed European history, explained in 60 to 90 seconds" gives the system a clearer promise.

Voice

Preview the available voices and choose the delivery that fits the Series.

Consider:

• whether the voice suits a story, documentary, explainer, or social format;
• whether its energy matches the subject;
• whether names and unusual words will be easy to understand;
• whether the pace remains comfortable for the intended duration.

The preview is a sample. The Episode narration will be generated from the approved script later.

Visuals

Choose an art style and caption style by looking at their previews.

The selected art style becomes the shared visual direction for generated scene images. It does not force every image to show the same subject. It keeps recurring qualities such as medium, lighting, palette, texture, and composition more consistent across the Series.

Caption previews show how subtitles will look in the finished video. Choose for readability on a phone, not only for appearance on a desktop screen.

Sound

Build a music pool from any combination of included tracks and your uploaded audio. Each Episode selects one available track and keeps that choice when the video is rebuilt. Leave the pool empty if you do not want background music.

You can preview the included music or add your own supported audio. Only upload music that you have the right to use. Check the license for every external track and keep your proof of permission.

Review and create

Review the complete production brief, then select Create Series.

Unfinished Series input is saved in the current browser while you work. The local draft is cleared after the Series is successfully created. You can edit the Series later from Series.

Only an Active Series can be used to create a new Episode. A paused or archived Series remains saved but must be started again before use.

Step 2: Create an Episode

Open Episodes and select Create episode.

Choose the Series

Select the active Series whose strategy and creative setup should be used. The Episode inherits its voice, visuals, captions, music, duration target, and content rules.

Choose a starting point

You have three options:

• Find an idea for me: FacelessPilot proposes a fresh angle using the Series strategy.
• Use my idea: Enter a topic or angle in a sentence or a few bullet points.
• Use my research: Paste facts, excerpts, links, or rough notes as context. The generated draft uses original wording, but you should still verify every factual claim.

If you provide research, organize it so the important facts are easy to identify. Separate confirmed facts from theories, opinions, and fictional details.

Select Generate draft. You will return to the Episodes list while the draft is created in the background.

Only one Episode draft can be created per account at a time. While one is being created, another creation request is blocked. The Episodes page updates the status automatically from Creating to Draft when the draft is ready.

You can leave the Episodes page and return later. Refreshing the page does not restart the draft.

An account can request up to 10 AI script generations per UTC day. New Episode drafts and AI script rewrites share this limit. This daily safeguard is separate from your paid video allowance.

Step 3: Review the script

Open the Episode when its status is Draft. The page guides you through four steps in order.

1. Edit script

Review all the production fields, not only the narration:

• Title: The internal and publishing title proposed for the Episode.
• Content type: Factual / Educational, Fictional Story, or Legend / Mystery.
• Topic and angle: What the Episode covers and how it approaches the subject.
• Opening hook: The first reason a viewer should keep watching.
• Key points: The facts, beats, or ideas the narration must include.
• Narration: The complete voiceover script.
• Closing CTA: An optional closing line or viewer question.

Read the narration aloud before approving it. Shorten sentences that are difficult to follow, check pronunciation, remove repeated ideas, and confirm that the ending repays the opening hook.

Use Fit to target with AI when the narration is outside the Series word-count range. Rewrite with AI can instead improve the hook and pacing, fit the target length, or produce a fresh version from the same idea. FacelessPilot shows the rewrite as a candidate first: choose Use rewrite to place it in the editor, or Discard to keep the current narration. AI never overwrites the saved script automatically.

For factual content, verify names, dates, quotations, statistics, and claims using reliable sources. For fiction or legends, make sure the framing does not present invented events as verified reporting.

Select Save & check script after making changes.

2. Quality check

The quality check reviews the current script version for:

• likely retention weaknesses;
• internal similarity and originality concerns;
• obvious safety or platform risks;
• factual concerns when factual review applies;
• practical improvements to the hook, structure, or wording.

The result may be Ready, Changes needed, Out of date, or Checking.

Treat the report as assistance, not as a replacement for your judgment. Resolve blocking issues, review its suggestions, then save the script again. Any unsaved edit makes the previous quality result out of date.

Fiction and legend modes intentionally allow fictional events. Their factual review may be skipped, but the content still needs clear framing and must follow the Series safety rules.

An account can request up to 20 AI quality reviews per UTC day. Saving an edit and asking FacelessPilot to check it again uses another review request.

3. Review and approve

Before approval, review the complete production plan in one place:

• voice, visual style, caption style, automatic editing, and target length;
• the optional AI animated opening;
• estimated runtime;
• required and currently available video allowance;
• the separate AI intro allowance, when selected.

Use Edit Series settings before approval if the inherited setup is not right. Changing the target length may require fitting and checking the narration again. The AI intro choice is saved with the Episode, so refreshing the page does not lose it.

The Approve production plan button becomes available when the script is saved, its quality check is ready, the narration fits the current target length, and the estimate is available. Approval itself does not reserve or consume allowance.

Approval confirms the current script version and Series version. If the Series settings change afterward, review and approve the updated plan again. If you edit an approved script, FacelessPilot creates a new script version that must be saved, checked, and approved again.

After a video has been generated, use Revise Episode script instead of editing the production transcript as a separate asset. The completed video keeps the frozen script version it was made with. A revised Episode creates a new canonical script version; the old video remains available until you explicitly approve the revision and rebuild.

4. Generate video

After approval, Step 4 becomes available. Select Generate video to start the background production job. FacelessPilot checks the allowance again immediately before reserving it, so a balance displayed during review cannot become a stale authorization.

FacelessPilot keeps the narration close to the target length while allowing a small natural variation for pacing. It does not force the video to end at an exact second or allow the script to grow without a limit.

Step 4: Generate and monitor the video

Video usage is based on the finished runtime:

• up to 90 seconds counts as one video;
• 91 to 150 seconds counts as two videos;
• each additional 60 seconds counts as one more video;
• scene count does not change the allowance;
• reserved allowance is only used after the video completes its quality checks successfully.

Allowance validity and consumption order

Current monthly-plan allowances are valid for the 30-day plan period and do not roll over after they expire. One-time video and AI intro top-ups are valid for 365 days from purchase.

When more than one active allowance grant is available, FacelessPilot uses the allowance that expires first. This applies separately to video allowances and AI intro allowances. Expired allowance is not included in your available balance.

What happens when you rebuild a video

Regenerating an individual scene image, voice audio file, subtitle file, or other production asset does not itself consume video allowance. It is still subject to the applicable generation safeguard.

A finished video does not change automatically when one of its source assets changes. If you rebuild the complete video to include the new asset, FacelessPilot reserves video allowance again. A successful rebuild consumes the allowance required for the rebuilt video's runtime, even when you changed only one source asset. A failed rebuild does not consume the reserved video allowance.

Select Generate video to start the background production job.

FacelessPilot then prepares the approved script, storyboard, image prompts, scene images, voice audio, subtitles, background music, motion plan, cover candidates, publishing copy, and final video. The AI animated opening is included only when you selected it.

This work is asynchronous. You do not need to keep the browser tab focused. You can return through Episodes and select View progress for the Episode.

Generation safeguards and daily limits

FacelessPilot applies generation safeguards in addition to your purchased video and AI intro allowances. These limits protect shared generation capacity and reduce automated abuse. They do not add or remove video allowance from your plan.

Daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC, not at local midnight. The cover limit applies for the lifetime of that Episode, and the manual retry limit applies to that production job.

An accepted request counts toward its generation safeguard even if an external AI provider later fails. This is different from video billing: purchased video allowance is charged only after the final video completes successfully. Drafts, reviews, and failed final video generations do not consume video allowance.

If you reach a daily safeguard, FacelessPilot blocks that action until the next UTC reset. Buying a video top-up increases your available video allowance but does not increase these daily safeguards. You can still review existing content, edit manually, download completed videos, and use assets that are already ready.

The non-cover asset limit includes regeneration requests for scene images, voice audio, subtitles, and other individual production assets. Covers do not use this daily limit because they have a separate per-Episode limit.

One cover-generation round can create multiple cover candidates. The three-round limit therefore means three requests to generate a set of candidates, not a lifetime limit of three individual cover images. After the third round, choose from an existing candidate or upload and use your own cover when publishing.

The values above are the current standard policy. You can see the limits currently applied by FacelessPilot under Settings > Privacy & data.

Step 5: Follow production progress

The Episode page polls for updates and shows a progress bar, the current activity, and when the job last changed.

Common states are:

Refreshing the page does not create a second production job. Existing successful assets are kept and reused when possible.

How production retries work

For a retryable provider or network failure, FacelessPilot can make up to three automatic execution attempts in total: the initial attempt and up to two automatic retries. These automatic retries are part of the same production job and do not use your manual retry limit.

If the job still reaches Needs attention, you can manually retry that failed production job up to two times. A manual retry continues the existing job and reuses successful assets where possible. It does not guarantee that an external provider will succeed, and another manual retry is unavailable after the job reaches its limit.

Review individual assets

The Current assets section can include:

• approved voiceover script;
• storyboard and scene plan;
• image prompt for each scene;
• scene images;
• voice audio;
• timed subtitles;
• background music;
• cover candidates;
• optional AI intro;
• publishing titles, descriptions, and hashtags;
• final video.

Click a scene image to inspect a larger preview. Use an available Edit, Regenerate, or Rebuild action when only one part needs correction. Previous versions remain available separately, while the current version is used for the next rebuild.

Examples:

• regenerate one scene image instead of all images;
• regenerate the voiceover after correcting a pronunciation;
• rebuild subtitles after changing voice timing;
• choose different music without rewriting the script;
• rebuild the final video after replacing an asset.

Always preview the rebuilt video. A corrected source asset does not change a video file that was already rendered until the final video is rebuilt.

Step 6: Preview and download

When the Episode is Ready, play the video on the Episode page and check:

• the hook starts immediately and matches the first visual;
• narration is clear and correctly pronounced;
• subtitles appear at the right time and remain readable;
• scene images match the narration;
• motion and transitions feel comfortable rather than distracting;
• background music does not cover the voice;
• factual statements and on-screen text are correct;
• the final frame ends cleanly.

Select Download video below the preview to save the finished file. If your browser opens the video instead of saving it, use the browser player's download control or Save video as.

Finished videos also appear on the Videos page. You can filter the list by Series, open a video, or use the Episode icon to return to its production details and download it.

Storage, retention, and privacy controls

FacelessPilot stores production records in its database and production files in Cloudflare R2. Intermediate files are kept long enough to inspect, edit, or rebuild a recent production, but they are not retained indefinitely.

Intermediate files include storyboards, image prompts, generated scene images, narration audio, timing alignment, subtitles, background music copies, motion plans, publishing metadata, and quality reports. Automatic cleanup removes the corresponding stored objects and asset records after their retention period.

The retention period makes a file eligible for deletion. FacelessPilot removes eligible files during the next cleanup cycle, so deletion may occur after the exact 30-day or 7-day expiration time rather than at that exact minute.

Your final video and cover remain available after automatic intermediate cleanup. However, a later edit or rebuild may need to regenerate a deleted image, narration, subtitle, or other dependency. That new generation is subject to the current generation safeguards and any applicable successful-video allowance.

Delete production data yourself

Open Settings > Privacy & data to see your current production file counts and use either cleanup option:

• Clear intermediate assets: Permanently removes rebuildable production assets from the database and R2. It keeps your Series, Episodes, final videos, and covers. Existing final videos remain downloadable, but future edits may require regenerating deleted dependencies.
• Delete all production data: Permanently removes all Series, Episodes, production jobs, production history, uploaded music, intermediate assets, final videos, covers, and related R2 objects. Your FacelessPilot account, subscription, payment records, and security or abuse-prevention records remain.

You cannot run either cleanup while a video generation job is active. Wait for the job to finish or fail, then try again. Full production-data deletion requires typing the confirmation phrase shown on the page.

Once a deletion succeeds, the corresponding content records and R2 objects cannot be restored from FacelessPilot. FacelessPilot does not keep a separate application copy of deleted production content.

Production requests may be processed by the third-party AI, voice, and media providers needed to generate your assets. Manual deletion removes the production content controlled by FacelessPilot in its database and R2 storage, but it does not automatically delete:

• files you already downloaded to your own devices;
• copies you uploaded to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or another service;
• operational or security records a generation provider retains under its own privacy and retention terms.

Delete downloaded and published copies through the device or platform where you stored them. Review the applicable provider and publishing-platform terms before submitting sensitive, confidential, or personally identifying material.

Step 7: Publish manually

The downloaded video is a clean master without automatic platform publishing.

For each platform:

1. Open the platform's own upload or creator page.
2. Upload the downloaded video file.
3. Choose a cover candidate or upload your preferred cover.
4. Review and adapt the generated title, description, and hashtags.
5. Check the crop, captions, sound, and cover in the platform preview.
6. Set the platform's publishing options yourself.
7. Publish immediately or use the platform's own scheduling tools, when available.

Do not upload a file downloaded from one platform to another if it contains that platform's watermark. Start from the clean FacelessPilot download for each destination.

FacelessPilot does not currently confirm that an upload succeeded. Check the published post on the destination platform yourself.

Status reference

Episode statuses on the list page mean:

If a button is unavailable

Create episode is unavailable

Make sure at least one Series is active and no other Episode draft is currently being created.

Approve script is unavailable

Save the latest edits, wait for the quality check, and resolve any blocking issue. An out-of-date quality report cannot be approved.

Generate video is unavailable

Confirm that the script is approved, the allowance estimate has loaded, and enough video allowance is available. If the optional AI opening is selected, you also need an AI intro allowance.

Production appears to be waiting

Check the current activity and last update time. Queued jobs can wait for a worker. The page refreshes status automatically, and a normal browser refresh is safe. If the job changes to Needs attention, use the displayed retry or regeneration action instead of starting a duplicate Episode.

The finished video still contains an old asset

Confirm that the corrected asset is marked as the current version, then rebuild the final video. Regenerating an image, voiceover, or subtitle file does not modify an already rendered video file by itself.

A generation limit has been reached

Check Settings > Privacy & data for the applicable limit. Daily safeguards reset at 00:00 UTC. A video or AI intro top-up does not bypass a daily generation safeguard.

Email verification is required

Open the verification email and select Verify email. If it has expired, return to the Check your email page and select Resend verification email after the 60-second cooldown. Check spam and promotions folders before resending.

A simple first-production checklist

• Create an account and verify its email address.
• Create one active Series from a preset.
• Preview and choose its voice, visual style, captions, and music.
• Create one suggested Episode.
• Read the narration aloud and verify its claims.
• Save the script and resolve the quality check.
• Approve the current script version.
• Leave the optional AI animated opening off for the first test.
• Generate the video and wait for Ready.
• Preview the full video with sound.
• Download the clean master.
• Upload and publish it manually on your chosen platform.

FacelessPilot can make the production process more consistent and easier to review. It cannot guarantee views, followers, distribution, monetization approval, or income. Use audience feedback and retention data to improve the next Episode.
